Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Bloomington, MN seeks an experienced claims advocate to provide advocacy and consulting for complex Commercial Lines clients. You will conduct claim reviews, negotiate with carriers, analyze loss trends, and tailor plans to reduce duration, severity, and cost.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in a commercial claims role, a Bachelor’s degree, and a Property & Casualty license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a claims administration role for a Commercial Lines agency.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Property & Casualty license preferred.
• Detailed understanding of multiple lines of commercial lines coverage (general workers compensation, liability, property; E&O).
• Comfortable with internet-based programs and MS Office products.
• Strong understanding of loss forecasting, experience mods, reserve analysis, collateral, etc.
• Expert business, negotiation, and data interpretation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to convey messages to C-suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct claim reviews in conjunction with service plan; monitor and communicate results to client.
• Negotiate with carriers to develop special account instructions.
• Analyze loss trends and tailor service plans to mitigate claim duration, severity and costs.
• Advocate on behalf of clients on denials, reservation of rights, and coverage position.
• Assist client with evaluation and reporting of complex claims.
• Review reserving accuracy on specific claims.
• Develop action plans and assist with resolution of complex/high exposure claims.
• Provide guidance on litigation and medical management solutions.
• Partner with risk control and analytics teams to identify loss trends and develop comprehensive programs.
• Contribute insights in USI team huddles.
