Westfield Specialty in New York is seeking a senior claims professional to manage commercial and financial lines including D&O, E&O, EPL, and Fidelity claims. The role requires a Juris Doctor and active adjuster licensing, with travel and a four-day onsite presence.

You will assess coverage, coordinate with outside counsel, and present claim developments to management, underwriting, and reinsurers while collaborating on policy language and trends identifying.

Formación

• Minimum 6–10 years’ experience in specialty insurance or law firm.
• Significant D&O, E&O or EPL experience; program claims exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Must obtain and maintain insurance adjuster licenses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytic, investigative, listening and negotiation abilities.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel; onsite in office 4 days a week.

Responsabilidades

• Directly handle and oversee commercial and financial lines D&O, E&O, EPL, and related claims.
• Manage claim phases: contact, investigation, coverage evaluation, reserving, resolution.
• Deliver top-notch customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Review policies to determine coverage and resolve coverage-related matters with outside counsel when needed.
• Prepare written reports and present developments to management, underwriting, actuary and reinsurers.
• Communicate claim developments and exposure analyses to claims management.
• Collaborate with underwriting to review trends and policy language; attend meetings with insureds and brokers.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and attorneys to manage budgets and litigation oversight.
• Travel as required and be onsite four days per week per corporate policy.
