Job summary

Westfield seeks a results-focused claims professional to oversee financial lines claims including Private D&O and EPL, working with an MGU. You will monitor activity, review bordereaux, escalate high-exposure matters, and maintain clear communications with underwriters, brokers, insureds, and service providers.

Requirements include 1–3 years in insurance or law, a bachelor’s degree, adjuster licenses, and strong written/verbal communication, analytical, and negotiation skills; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidates must obtain and maintain insurance adjuster licenses.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of financial lines claims including Private D&O and EPL handled by an MGU.
• Manage and oversee Plastic Card Fraud and Theft claims.
• Monitor claim activity for timely handling, investigation, reserving and resolution.
• Review claim bordereaux for developments, coverage, exposure and resolution strategies.
• Escalate significant developments and high-exposure matters to management.
• Communicate with MGU claim handlers on status, reserves and settlements.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and write updates for management.
• Provide professional service to internal/external customers and partners.
• Ensure compliance with statutes, regulations, and authority guidelines.
• Support mediations and settlement discussions by coordinating information.
• Participate in meetings with underwriting, brokers and insureds.
• Coordinate and manage outside vendors for defense costs and services.
