AMSURG, a national leader in ambulatory surgery center services, seeks a Sr. Manager of Claims to lead the end-to-end claims lifecycle within Risk Management.

This remote-first role manages a diverse portfolio including workers’ compensation, property, general liability, and professional liability, coordinating with executives and external partners. The ideal candidate will be analytical, strategic, and capable of guiding cross-functional teams to optimize claim outcomes and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with eight years’ claims handling experience.
• Experience with Professional Liability, Workers’ Compensation, and Property preferred.
• Understanding of reserve setting and loss run data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Owns evaluation and investigation of reported incidents, liabilities, and claims.
• Partners with external adjusters and defense counsel to drive defense strategies and settlements.
• Lead strategic vision for claims, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance.
• Advise Corporate and Center staff on claims issues, including Return-to-Work programs and subpoenas.
• Analyze claims data and loss runs to identify risk trends and prepare leadership reports.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, Real Estate, and Operations to integrate risk management best practices.
