Job summary

Great American Insurance Group's Trucking Division is seeking a Claims Representative to join the Physical Damage team in our Cincinnati, OH office. The role emphasizes investigating and managing claims with a focus on timely payments and regulatory compliance.

Candidates with commercial auto claims experience are encouraged to apply. On-site four days a week with one day remote, a strong emphasis on teamwork, efficient handling, and professional communication are expected.

Qualifications

• Generally, 1 to 3 years of claims experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Auto Physical Damage experience is a plus.
• Body Shop experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and maintains claims.
• Reviews and evaluates coverage and/or liability.
• Secures and analyzes necessary information in the investigation of claims.
• May participate in affecting settlements/reserves within prescribed limits; submits recommendations to supervisor on cases exceeding personal authority.
• Ensure that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure claims handling is conducted in compliance with applicable statutes, regulations and other legal requirements, and that all applicable company procedures and policies are followed.
• Conveys information to all appropriate parties, maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities

• Investigates and maintains claims.
• Reviews and evaluates coverage and/or liability.
• Secures and analyzes necessary information (i.e., reports, policies, appraisals, releases, statements, records, or other documents) in the investigation of claims.
• May participate in affecting settlements/reserves within prescribed limits; submits recommendations to supervisor on cases exceeding personal authority.
• Ensure that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure claims handling is conducted in compliance with applicable statues, regulations and other legal requirements, and that all applicable company procedures and policies are followed.
• Conveys information (coverage, decision, outcomes, etc.) to all appropriate parties, maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
