Qualifications

• Generally, 1 to 3 years of claims experience.
• Prior experience with liability claims and complex coverage is required.
• Injury and litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and maintains claims.
• Reviews and evaluates coverage and/or liability.
• Secures and analyzes necessary information in the investigation of claims.
• May participate in affecting settlements/reserves within prescribed limits; submits recommendations to supervisor on cases exceeding personal authority.
• Ensure that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure claims handling is conducted in compliance with applicable statutes, regulations and other legal requirements, and that all applicable company procedures and policies are followed.
• Conveys information (coverage, decision, outcomes, etc.) to all appropriate parties, maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
