Ladders is seeking a Claims Consultant EPL to join the team in a remote US-based capacity. The role focuses on Employment Practices Liability claims, with emphasis on coverage analysis, liability assessment, and strategic resolution planning.

You will collaborate with insureds, counsel, and internal stakeholders to guide complex claims through investigation, negotiation, and litigation management, including disciplined reserve oversight and clear written communications of positions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate strongly preferred; college degree required.
• Minimum of 7 years handling litigated coverage and liability cases and/or claims.
• Knowledge and experience in Employment Practices Liability claims.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong strategic thinking and execution abilities.
• Advanced negotiation and insurance coverage knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and analyze information related to claims
• Determine coverage, liability, and damages based on claim facts
• Communicate written positions on coverage and liability to insureds and other parties
• Set and monitor expense and indemnity reserves
• Present cases for reserve authority above established levels
• Develop resolution strategies through negotiations
• Proactively manage litigation and counsel, including planning and budgeting

For our client, we are seeking a Claims Consultant EPL to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will focus on managing Employment Practices Liability claims with a strong emphasis on coverage analysis, liability assessment, and strategic resolution planning. You will partner closely with insureds, counsel, and internal business stakeholders to guide complex claims through investigation, negotiation, and litigation management. The position also requires disciplined reserve oversight and clear written communication of claim positions and outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $122,400 – $183,600 annually
