Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of reinsurance claims across multiple lines of business, ensuring timely and accurate handling from initial notice through resolution.
  • Review cedent claim submissions and supporting documentation to assess coverage, liability, damages, and contractual obligations.
  • Analyze and interpret reinsurance treaties to determine coverage applicability.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate reserves in accordance with company guidelines and delegated authority.
  • Conduct audits at cedent companies to evaluate claim handling practices and clearly communicate audit findings to internal partners and senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with cedents, brokers, and internal business partners.
  • Maintain accurate claim files and documentation within claims management systems.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.

The Senior Claims Examiner is responsible for managing and analyzing a diverse portfolio of reinsurance claims across multiple lines of business, delivering timely and accurate claim handling, and maintaining strong relationships with cedents, brokers, and internal business partners.
