• Determine if a major claim should be settled or litigated and plan resolution.
• Effectively manage loss costs and claim expenses.
• Coordinate discovery and litigation strategy with counsel.
• Negotiate complex settlements and authorize payments within authority.
• Coordinate subrogation/third-party recovery when applicable.
• Analyze claims activity and present reports to management.
• Work with attorneys, agents, and insureds regarding disposition of claims.
