Job summary

OUC – The Reliable One seeks a detail-oriented Claims Analyst to manage a portfolio of WC, GL, AL, electrical and water-related claims. You will lead investigations, assess liability, and ensure fair, timely resolutions in a fast-paced in-office setting.

You will gain hands-on exposure to utility operations, field visits, and cross-department collaboration, with opportunities to influence insurance and risk initiatives and staff training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, finance or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of claims-handling experience across WC, GL, AL; BI claims a plus.
• Florida 620 adjuster license required.
• Experience with electrical and water-related claims; knowledge of municipal liability (Fla. Stat. 768).
• Experience with third-party administrators or municipal/utility settings preferred.
• Proficiency with ISO claims tools, FileHandler or Origami, and Microsoft Office.
• Desirable professional designations: AIC, AINS, CPCU.
• Full-time, in-office role; Orlando area preferred due to storm-response duties.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, negotiate, and settle routine first and third-party property claims.
• Conduct field investigations and maintain correspondence with employees, insurers, claimants, and law enforcement.
• Respond to employee vehicle accidents with field investigation and negotiation.
• Review workers' compensation claims for compensability; approve medical care and coordinate payments.
• Communicate claim-related matters with employees, management, payroll, and third-party administrators.
• Complete wage reporting to third-party adjusters for Florida statutes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
