About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Claims Advocate to join our Melville office. This role is ideal for a proven claims professional with deep expertise in property damage claims who is passionate about protecting policyholders directly — not representing carriers or navigating corporate red tape.

You will work exclusively in-office, leading claims strategy, negotiation, client communication, and insurance company interactions — with no field work involved.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary claims strategist and advocate for commercial and residential property clients.
• Review policies, engineering reports, estimates, and carrier communications to develop negotiation strategies.
• Lead claim documentation and presentations to insurance companies.
• Communicate directly with property owners, asset managers, and legal teams to guide the claims process.
• Collaborate with inspections, estimating, and legal teams to strengthen claims packages.
• Negotiate settlements, secure fair outcomes, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Manage a portfolio of active claims and mentor junior advocates if desired.

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of property claims experience (advocacy, adjusting, claims management, or insurance agency/brokerage claims department experience).
• Expertise with commercial and residential property insurance coverages and carrier processes.
• Strong negotiation, documentation, and claims presentation skills.
• Highly organized, client-focused, and skilled in complex communication.
• Comfortable working full-time from our Melville, NY office (no fieldwork).
