Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a General Adjuster to investigate claims for personal, casualty, or property losses and to attempt settlements with claimants. The role involves reviewing forms, interviewing witnesses, and inspecting damage to determine liability.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree (preferred), an active state adjuster license, and relevant professional designations in progress. Travel may be required to handle complex losses and support the claims process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; IIA-AIC designation pursued and professional designation in insurance encouraged.
• Active state adjuster license required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate insurance or other claims for personal, casualty, or property loss.
• Estimate cost of repair or replacement and prepare reports.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants or coordinate with legal as needed.
• Attend litigation hearings and revise case reserves accordingly.
• Travel as required to investigate losses and support complex claims.
