Sedgwick is seeking a Per Diem General Liability Adjuster in the United States to handle automobile, homeowner, and excess liability claims with complex coverage issues. The role emphasizes high-level analysis, negotiation, and timely resolution of claims.

You will review exposures, coordinate with defense counsel, and maintain reserves, while delivering excellent customer service and applying state-specific regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; state mandated adjusting licenses as required.
• Eight years of related experience in personal lines, evaluating coverage and drafting letters with rights reservations.
• Experience with commercial lines claims and litigation in multiple states preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts claims on Automobile, Homeowner and Excess Liability policies.
• Develops exposures and evaluates injury claims based on damages, the contract, policies and state laws.
• Investigates and evaluates coverage, liability and damages in complex claims.
• Manages defense counsel in litigation of serious and complex claims.
• Develops plans to bring claims to resolution, focusing on indemnity and expense leakage.
• Drafts coverage letters including reservation of rights and denials.
• Maintains proper reserves on all pending claims.
