Confidential Search in East San Diego County, CA is seeking an Estimator – Civil & Utility for on-site, direct-hire employment. You will perform take-offs, build unit costs, prepare competitive bids for public agencies and utilities, and work with project teams on constructability and value engineering.

Requirements include 5+ years in civil/heavy civil estimating, experience with HeavyBid, B2W, Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift and advanced Excel, plus the ability to commute daily to the East San Diego

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years estimating civil/heavy civil/underground utility work.
• Experience bidding for public works and private development.
• Proficiency with estimation software and Excel.

Aufgaben

• Perform take-offs for earthwork, utilities, paving and concrete.
• Build cost estimates from labor, materials and subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare bids for public agencies and utility owners.
• Negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and submit proposals on deadline.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers and field teams on constructability.
