Qualifications

• Experience inspecting and administering highway construction contracts.
• Ability to coordinate with agencies, utilities, landowners, designers, officials, and contractors.
• Strong understanding of plans and specifications and contract documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior project engineer technician to the Contracting Officer/Contracting Officer Representative with responsibility for on-site administration of construction contracts to ensure technical soundness and compliance with plans and specs.
• Monitor documentation and measurement of work performed.
• Review material testing, project schedules, progress estimates, surveys, traffic controls, environmental controls, construction methods, project funding, and all issues concerning construction; monitor compliance with contract documents.
• Plan, organize and facilitate project meetings with owning agency, utilities, landowners, designers, officials, suppliers, and contractors, including partnering meetings.
• Ideal candidate has experience inspecting and administering all phases of highway construction contracts; target applicants are mid to late career.
