Job summary

Clark Construction Group seeks a Superintendent to lead field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time, on-budget project delivery. You will oversee self-performed and subcontracted work, manage schedules, and mentor a strong team across projects while maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders.

The role requires heavy civil construction experience, self-perform focus, and a deep understanding of contracts and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience.
• 7+ years of experience on construction projects.
• Heavy civil construction experience with self-perform work preferred.
• 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• In-depth knowledge of scheduling, contracts, equipment, and personnel.
• Experience leading field operations and communicating plans to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of safety and building regulations (OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely and quality installation of contracted work across projects or scopes.
• Promote safety and quality among Clark employees and trade contractors, with frequent inspections.
• Create and manage plans to sequence work, manage logistics, and track materials and personnel.
• Ensure work quality meets project and company standards; deliver on schedule and budget.
• Develop, update, and communicate project schedules with stakeholders; monitor milestones.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing group; foster stakeholder relationships.
• Represent the company professionally in meetings and interactions; manage owner contracts and vendor agreements.
• Participate in close-out activities including punch lists and training.
