Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Structural Engineer/Principal Structural Engineer for the Sentinel program in Roy, Utah. The role involves analyzing and designing structural systems for missiles, spacecraft, and related facilities, with opportunities for relocation assistance.

You will work within the Sentinel Infrastructure Analysis Team to support facility subsystems and flight test facilities, applying MATLAB and Nastran to structural analyses while collaborating across disciplines to meet

Qualifications

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval.
Knowledge of structural dynamics analysis of spacecraft, aircraft, or missiles.
Professional knowledge of missile and/or spacecraft structures, statics, strength of materials, structural dynamics principles, and methods.
Proficient in programming and use of MATLAB for analysis and data manipulation.
Experience running modal transient analysis in Nastran (or equivalent).
Experience with launch vehicle, spacecraft, and rocket engine vibroacoustics analysis.
Experience with time domain, frequency domain, and/or random vibration analysis.

Responsibilities

Analyze, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite materials for product design and operation.
Collaborate with adjacent disciplines in a highly integrated team environment.
Utilize MATLAB and Nastran for analysis and modeling of structures and dynamics.
