Job summary

Atwell, LLC in Houston seeks a licensed Civil/Structural Engineer (PE) to lead design for oil and gas infrastructure including pipelines, terminals, and processing facilities. You will develop construction documents and perform structural analyses for wind, seismic, blast loads, mentoring juniors, and coordinating with disciplines to ensure code compliance.

Requirements include ABET-accredited BS, PE license, 7+ years in oil & gas, and proficiency with STAAD.Pro, RISA, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil or Structural Engineering required; PE license required.
• 7+ years of civil/structural experience in oil & gas facilities or similar industrial infrastructure.
• Proficient in structural analysis software and CAD tools; familiar with codes (AISC, ACI, ASCE, API, IBC).

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural engineering design for oil & gas infrastructure (pipelines, terminals, processing facilities).
• Develop construction documents (structural plans, framing, connections) for steel and concrete structures.
• Coordinate across disciplines (mechanical, piping, electrical) for structural requirements.
• Perform structural analyses under wind, seismic, blast, and equipment loads.
• Mentor junior engineers and monitor project budgets/schedules.
