Job summary

Atwell, LLC in the United States is seeking a mid-level Mechanical Project Engineer (PE) to support oil & natural gas, CO₂, hydrogen, and RNG pipeline and facility projects. This role focuses on mechanical design and project execution for large pipeline systems and facilities, coordinating across disciplines to deliver safe, compliant, and constructible solutions.

You’ll serve as mechanical lead or key contributor, mentor juniors, interface with clients and regulators, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and PE licensure required.
• Experience leading mechanical projects and coordinating across disciplines.
• Familiarity with pipeline facilities and M&R stations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support project teams on assigned tasks; provide technical guidance and implement client-requested design changes.
• Interface with clients, EPCs, vendors, and regulators; communicate scope, progress, risks, and design decisions.
• Coordinate with civil/structural/electrical/instrumentation/process teams to ensure integrated, constructible designs.
• Mentor junior engineers/designers; contribute to mechanical best practices, standards, and QA/QC.
• Travel to offices, vendor facilities, and jobsites as needed.
