Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services, a Quanta Services, Inc. company, seeks a Civil / Structural Engineer to support design and engineering for energy, midstream, and petrochemical facilities. You will develop structural solutions, perform analyses, and ensure code compliance while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a BS in Structural/Civil Engineering and a P.E. license (Texas preferred), with 10+ years total experience and 3+ years in midstream energy projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years total experience; 3+ years civil/structural in midstream energy or petrochemical facilities.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required, preferably Texas.
• Experience with steel and concrete structural design for industrial facilities.
• Experience using structural analysis/design software such as SAP, SAFE, and L-Pile.
• Familiarity with applicable codes including API, ASME B31.3, ASCE 7, and IBC.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for steel structures (skids, platforms, racks, cable trays).
• Design concrete foundations, retaining walls, and equipment pads.
• Develop demolition plans, rebar schedules, BOMs, and material take-offs.
• Review codes and ensure constructible designs; coordinate with other disciplines.
• QA/QC reviews of drawings, calculations, and documents; respond to RFIs.
