Job summary

Motiva Enterprises LLC is seeking a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to provide expert civil and structural engineering support for major capital projects. You will review, coordinate, and oversee deliverables, collaborating with contractors, project management, construction, and operations to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective execution from concept to startup.

The role is onsite at Motiva's corporate headquarters in downtown Houston, TX, with a 9/80 work schedule; on scheduled

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of civil and structural engineering experience.
• Experience with structural steel design and reinforced concrete.
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318 and related standards.
• Experience reviewing engineering designs and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide civil and structural engineering support for major capital projects in refining and petrochemical facilities.
• Review and develop civil/structural scope, deliverables, and execution strategies.
• Review contractor designs, calculations, and construction packages for technical accuracy.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and project specs.
• Perform discipline checks and ensure constructability of deliverables.
• Coordinate civil/structural activities across contractors and project teams.
