Job summary

Strategy Engineering & Consulting, LLC is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer in Houston to lead civil and structural design activities for onshore/offshore oil and gas projects. You will supervise engineering tasks from design through fabrication, coordinating with clients, contractors and fabricators.

Applicants should hold a PE license and have 5–10+ years in civil/structural work, with proficiency in STAAD.Pro, SACS, ANSYS, RAM Connection, Mat3D and related codes.

Qualifications

• P.E. license and professional engineering status.
• 5–10+ years of civil/structural engineering experience.
• Proficient with industry software and codes (API, AISC).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Civil site development including site grading and drainage plans.
• Foundation design for reinforced concrete foundations for equipment.
• Steel design of pipe racks, skid supports, catwalks, and platforms per AISC/ASCE.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and fabricators to review issues.
• Prepare technical evaluations of quotes and assist with RFQ packages.
• Interface with other disciplines to minimize conflicts and errors.

Strategy is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer who will be responsible for Civil and Structural design and technical supervision of engineering activities associated with design, procurement and fabrication on projects executed by Strategy Engineering.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Civil site development including site grading and drainage plans.
• Foundation Design: Design reinforced concrete foundations for heavy equipment such as compressors, pumps, and storage tanks.
• Steel Design: Engineer pipe racks, skid supports, catwalks, and maintenance platforms in accordance with AISC and ASCE standards.
• Interact with clients, installation contractors, and fabricators to review project issues.
• Assist with preparation of technical documents for Request for Quotation packages.
• Prepare technical evaluations of fabricator and/or installation quotations.
• Interface with other disciplines to minimize conflicts and errors.

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer is a must.
• 5-10+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering activities.
• Knowledge of STAAD.Pro, SACS, ANSY, RISA, RAM Connection, Mat3D, and foundation 3D.
• Working knowledge of current industrial specifications including API and AISC codes. Good communication skills.
