Job summary

The Shaw Group seeks a Senior CSA Engineer to lead civil/structural/architectural design across projects, including shallow and deep foundations, steel structures and seismic design. You will mentor engineers and coordinate with estimating, fabrication shops and construction teams to ensure compliance with codes and client specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Professional engineer registration is required. California PE a plus.
• Having an NCEES Record is desired and should be obtained within 6 months if not held.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis, evaluation and documentation for assigned projects.
• Develop design basis, specifications, and perform detailed engineering.
• Ensure conformance to applicable codes and client standards.
• Interpret design requirements per codes (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, PIP, AWS, NFPA).
• Perform seismic design of steel and concrete structures and foundations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project team.
