Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services is seeking an experienced Designer to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team in Arlington or Houston, Texas. The role requires hands-on leadership for complex deliverables and collaboration with the Design Supervisor and Engineering Manager.

You will develop 3D models and 2D drawings for civil-structural systems, coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure accuracy and constructability across projects.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in civil-structural systems design.
• In-person, computer-based assessment required for all qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D models of foundation and structural steel using CADWorx Plant/CADWorx Structure (2020 or later).
• Produce detailed 2D drawings and model updates from calculations, specs and sketches.
• Coordinate with design disciplines for proper model integration and clash detection.
• Interface with engineers for design compatibility and constructability.
• Prepare drawings for IFA/IFB/IFC/As-Built deliverables.
• Support engineers and project teams with drafting standards and QA/QC.
