The role focuses on delivering complete design packages, validating drawings against specifications, and maintaining schedule and budget while coordinating with clients, vendors and other disciplines to implement cost-saving, safe and compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum extensive experience with civil/structural design in energy or related sectors.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, CADWorx and PDMS; strong MS Office skills.
• Experience as a design checker on multi-discipline projects preferred.
• Field experience and ability to read drawings and specs are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete design packages including calculations and deliverables.
• Create 2D/3D drawings and layouts from designs and layouts.
• Verify drawings for accuracy, codes, and project standards.
• Interface with clients, vendors and other disciplines to resolve questions.
• Lead a drafting/design team and manage scope, schedule and resources.
• Develop and track design schedules and budgets for projects.
