Job summary

GAS Energy Staffing LLC is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Designer in Houston, TX for a contract-to-hire engagement starting October 2026. The role involves leading civil/structural design efforts and guiding designers through detailed drawings.

You will develop 2D/3D models, supervise juniors, ensure codes compliance, and coordinate with engineers to align with project scope and schedule. Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of experience in civil/structural design.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, CADWorx, Navisworks and ReCap/scanning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Strong leadership and communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review 2D/3D models and detailed drawings.
• Lead the development of civil and structural design plans and details.
• Ensure design work complies with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to align design with project scope and schedule.
• Supervise and mentor junior designers and drafters.
• Perform site visits to verify design implementations.
• Manage time to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
