Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Civil Site Development Project Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead multiple civil site design projects involving water, sewer, and storm drainage systems. You will manage client relationships, develop proposals, and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget.

Required are a BS in civil engineering, a PE, 6+ years of design experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) credential.
• 6+ years' experience in design of public and private projects.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Advanced techniques and theories in civil engineering.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and direct large or multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD, preferably Civil 3D.
• Business development skills and strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage one or multiple projects for multiple clients.
• Prepare proposals and fee development.
• Visit clients, job sites and consultant offices to support project needs.
• Monitor scope, schedules, and budget for projects and business unit.
• Manage engineering work and interface with other disciplines.
• Create the scope of work for projects.
• Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas.
• May supervise engineers and technicians.
• Track projects in Vision and Microsoft Project.
