Job summary

NC Design Solutions in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Civil Design / Project Manager to join our office and support a growing portfolio of land development projects across North Carolina.

You will manage projects from planning and design through permitting and construction, coordinating with municipalities, counties, and utility providers to deliver high-quality site developments for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–15+ years of civil/site development experience.
• Experience with land development in North Carolina preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater, and utilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil/site development projects from planning through final approvals and construction.
• Prepare and oversee civil designs, calculations, plans, reports, and permit applications.
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and internal design resources.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, agencies, and contractors.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical direction to designers.
• Assist with proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates.
• Participate in client meetings and project coordination calls.
• Support construction administration including RFIs and site observations.
