Job summary

Wendel is seeking a Senior Civil / Site Engineer to join our Site Development Services Group across NY offices. Lead projects from concept to construction, mentor staff, and coordinate with owners, municipalities, and regulators on commercial, industrial, municipal, and education sites.

Qualifications include a NY PE or reciprocity, 10+ years in civil/site engineering, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license in NY or reciprocity.
• 10+ years civil/site engineering experience.
• Experience in site plan, utility, grading, drainage, and stormwater design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.
• Excellent communication, technical writing, and project management skills.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/site engineering projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare site, grading, and utility plans; drainage studies; stormwater reports; contract documents.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations as Project Manager.
• Serve as primary client contact with contractors, municipalities, and agencies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and mentor junior staff.
• Support business development and client relationship growth.
