Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Lead Civil Roadway Engineer/PM in Albuquerque, NM to drive transportation design from concept to final design and lead multi-disciplinary teams.

You will coordinate with DOT clients, manage scope, schedule and budget, and mentor staff while representing the firm on proposals and industry activities.

The role requires a civil engineering degree and PE license with 7–10 years of relevant experience, and strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a PE license or ability to obtain.
• 7–10 years of post-education engineering/civil design experience.
• Experience with DOT projects and clients.
• Proficient with civil design principles, codes and permitting.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for multi-project environments.
• Ability to mentor staff and manage project staffing and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation design from concept to final design.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with planning, environmental, roadway, hydraulics and traffic teams.
• Manage staffing and mentor junior staff for growth.
• Prepare and review plans, proposals and RFCs.
• Support proposal preparation and client relationships.
• Ensure QA/QC across deliverables and reports.
• Represent WSP in NM project engagements and industry groups.
