Job summary

BH2M in Gorham, ME is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead our growing civil team. The role combines project ownership, client relationship management, and technical direction, with opportunities to stay connected to design when needed.

You will oversee projects from concept through permitting and construction, mentor staff, coordinate with clients and regulators, and drive schedules, budgets, and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• 8–12 years of civil engineering experience.
• Strong background in site and land development.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil/site development projects from concept through permitting, design, and construction.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and proposals.
• Coordinate and oversee engineers and technical staff.
• Review plans, calculations, reports, and permit applications.
• Lead local and state permitting efforts.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other members of the team.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other project partners.
