Job summary

BH2M in Gorham, ME is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead our growing civil team. The role combines project ownership, client relationship management, and technical direction, with opportunities to stay connected to design when needed.

You will oversee projects from concept through permitting and construction, mentor staff, coordinate with clients and regulators, and drive schedules, budgets, and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• 8–12 years of civil engineering experience.
• Strong background in site and land development.

BH2M is looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to join our growing team in Gorham.

We’re looking for a licensed Professional Engineer with approximately 8–12 years of experience who is ready to take ownership of projects, build strong client relationships, and help lead our civil engineering team.

This is primarily a project management role, but you’ll stay connected to the technical side of the work. You’ll oversee projects and staff, work directly with clients, provide technical direction, and jump into design when needed.

What You’ll Do

• Manage civil/site development projects from concept through permitting, design, and construction

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 8–12 years of civil engineering experience
• Strong background in site and land development
• Experience with grading, drainage and stormwater management, utilities, site design, and permitting
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects and clients
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
• Maine or New England land development and permitting experience preferred
