Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager to lead civil engineering projects from conception to completion in a hybrid Long Beach or Ontario, CA office. You will coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural teams and manage budgets, schedules, and client communications.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of Civil Engineering PM experience, proficiency with Civil 3D/AutoCAD, and a willingness to leverage AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 10+ years of Civil Engineering PM experience in site/civil production.
• Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD; MS Office required.
• Ability to identify practical uses for AI tools to improve team processes.
• Ability to review AI-generated content for accuracy and protect confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects for multiple clients with timelines.
• Serve as lead point of contact for clients.
• Manage financial performance including profit and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts.
• Manage project budgets and schedules.
• Identify design criteria and oversee efficient design and plan preparation.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams.
• Mentor Project Engineers and Designers.
• Follow QA/QC and improve quality and efficiency.
• Foster client relationships and pursue growth with those clients.
• Participate in new client pursuits.
• Assess constructability and liability issues.
• Provide risk assessment on projects, costs, and probabilities.
