Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Engineer IV to lead civil engineering projects from concept through final design. The role is based at our Fullerton, CA headquarters and requires 8+ years of experience, a CA PE license, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and geospatial tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in civil engineering or related field.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Civil Engineering, or 12+ years of AE experience.
• Ability to use AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
• Ability to use ESRI ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, or related geospatial software.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: lead projects and manage workload.
• Manage workload of other engineering staff.
• Staff performance reviews.
• Meet with clients regarding work and performance of team, and regarding current and future work.
• Pursue/Acquire work with clients.
• Write and review proposals and scopes of work.
• Negotiate work with clients.
• Prepare PS&E bid packages.
• Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
• Prepare project drawings/designs in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Provide comments and markups to PS&E documents.
• Interact with public and private clients and stakeholders.
• Develops and reviews complete project documents for conformity.
