Job summary

Brooks Construction Company, Inc. seeks a Project Manager to oversee heavy highway and civil construction projects from initiation through closeout. You will coordinate field crews, manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors, and ensure safety and compliance with INDOT standards.

Office-field collaboration is essential as you will be the primary interface with clients, municipalities, and engineers. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus INDOT project management background is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, project management, or related field preferred; or eight years of equivalent experience.
• Five years of INDOT heavy highway or civil infrastructure project management experience required.
• Experience with estimating, scheduling, and project financials valued.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop scopes of work.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans from kickoff to closeout.
• Coordinate project teams including field superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Manage contracts, permits, submittals, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Track job costs and oversee timely billing and cost reporting, including progress payments and retainage releases.
• Lead project meetings and communicate with clients, inspectors, and engineers.
• Ensure safety, environmental standards, and quality assurance procedures are followed.
