Job summary

Brooks Construction Company, Inc. in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee heavy highway and civil construction projects from kickoff to closeout.

You will lead planning, scheduling, cost control, safety, quality assurance, and communication with INDOT, municipalities, clients, vendors, and subcontractors. You will serve as the office-field liaison, manage budgets and change orders, review plans, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or eight years equivalent experience in heavy highway.
• Minimum five years managing INDOT heavy highway or civil projects.
• Experience with estimating, scheduling, and project financials valued.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Bluebeam/OnStation/ITAP.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plans and contracts to develop scopes of work.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and resource plans from kickoff to closeout.
• Coordinate field and office teams including subcontractors and vendors.
• Manage contracts, permits, submittals, POs, and change orders.
• Ensure safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Track job costs and oversee billing and cost reporting.
• Lead project meetings and maintain stakeholder communication.
