Job summary

Impact Recruitment collaborates with a civil engineering firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, seeking a Civil Engineering Project Engineer / Project Manager to join the Engineering Team. The role emphasizes adherence to the Project Management Plan, client coordination, and active budget oversight.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of professional civil engineering experience, Florida PE licensure, and familiarity with budgeting/scheduling software, plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of professional-level experience in civil engineering, land surveying, or planning.
• Florida registration as a Civil Engineer (PE) is required/preferred.
• Experience with budgeting and scheduling software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clear ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the Project Management Plan and ensures all team members follow the plan.
• Uses CADD/CAD and related software to produce engineering and design documents.
• Prepare cost estimates and assess feasibility based on data analysis.
• Prepare or direct reports, plans, schedules, environmental studies, and design documents for projects.
• Coordinate with clients, officials, support staff, subcontractors, utilities and others involved.
• Inspect construction sites to ensure conformance with plans and standards.
• Monitor project budgets and report progress to leadership.
• Attend meetings to discuss progress, budgets, and local regulatory requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of techniques, materials, codes, and software.
