Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our civil engineering team in the Central region of the US, focusing on planning, design, and construction site-development projects for municipal and private clients.

We offer a hybrid work model with in-office three days a week to foster collaboration and growth. A PE license in Texas is preferred or the ability to file within 1 year, with 5–10 years of land development experience and proficiency in HydroCAD, SewerGEMS, HEC-RAS, and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Current Professional Engineer license in Texas preferred or ability to file for licensure within 1 year.
• 5–10 years of project experience in land development with linear infrastructure; multi-state experience a plus.
• Experience with HydroCAD, SewerGEMS, HEC-RAS, and Autodesk Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of site plans, technical reports, design drawings, contract documents, cost estimates and permit applications for projects.
• Develop land development plans and attend municipal meetings.
• Design linear infrastructure (piping, forcemains, drainage) for various sites.
• Navigate local, county, and state regulations and permitting requirements.
• Provide mentorship and develop junior engineers.
