Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate all technical activities on assigned projects. You will plan, schedule, and oversee engineering work, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and maintain clear communication among disciplines and consultants.

The role acts as the primary contact with the client's representative and agency personnel, while leading internal project team activities and mentoring E.I.T.s. ABET-certified BSCE required, PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• BSCE in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• Five or more years of civil/land development engineering experience.
• Registered P.E. or ability to obtain P.E. license in the state of employment.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Strong management and leadership skills; mentoring EITs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing a project team of EITs, CAD designers, sub-consultants, and contractors.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate financial and technical aspects of projects.
• Coordinate construction phase services including site visits and submittals.
• Identify and resolve technical issues with minimal oversight.
• Ensure compliance with codes and engineering standards; communicate across disciplines.
