PCL Construction, Inc. in Ventura, California, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer within Civil West to drive project delivery, manage subcontractor scopes, and support field teams.

You will apply quantity takeoffs, monitor progress, and lead scheduling while ensuring safety and quality across contracting activities. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of construction experience in an operational role preferred.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, specs, HSE, quality, and building materials.
• Ability to apply basic engineering/problem-solving principles to construction challenges.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Planning, organizational, and time-management skills; ability to multitask.
• Ability to formulate subcontracts and administer contract documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems.

Responsabilités

• Performs quantity takeoffs and site surveys to manage progress, reporting and change management.
• Maintains and administers subcontract scopes and related activities.
• Reviews contract obligations and supports project start-up with the site manager.
• Reviews subcontractors’ submittals for scope, design, and coordination.
• Assists with site inspections and witnesses system commissioning.
• Identifies potential project risks and mitigations.
• Performs other duties as required.
