Job summary

Redhawk Copper, Inc. is seeking a strategic Civil Project Engineer to lead planning, permitting, and construction of major river bridge and civil infrastructure in Arizona, reporting to the project leadership.

You will coordinate engineering studies, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. This role requires collaboration with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in civil engineering and major capital projects.
• Experience managing engineering consultants and construction contractors.
• Knowledge of roadways, bridges, drainage, floodplain, and earthworks design principles.
• Proficiency with project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and project controls.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate 4WD vehicles in remote terrain.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of river bridge crossing projects and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate bridge, roadway, drainage, geotechnical, structural, hydrologic, and environmental engineering activities.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and design packages.
• Support development of capital cost estimates, schedules, and project execution plans.
• Ensure civil infrastructure designs meet applicable federal, state, county, and industry standards.
• Support permitting efforts with federal, state, county, and local agencies.
• Interface with agencies including Pinal County Flood Control District, ADEQ, ADWR, USACE, and BLM.
• Manage external engineering consultants and specialty contractors.
• Develop scopes of work, request-for-proposal packages, and contract documentation.
• Support construction planning and execution activities.
• Monitor contractor performance, schedules, budgets, and construction quality.
• Conduct field inspections and verify compliance with engineering requirements.
• Manage project changes, risk assessments, and issue resolution.
• Maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project updates for management.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company HSE standards.
• Ensure project activities comply with environmental and regulatory obligations.
