Job summary

Tetra Tech in Plano or Dallas, TX, seeks a Senior Project Manager – Civil/Municipal Engineering to lead municipal roadway, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer projects.

In this client-facing role, you will manage projects, liaise with city and county clients across North Texas, mentor staff, and help grow the municipal practice.

The role requires a Texas-licensed PE and 12+ years of municipal project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
• 12+ years of progressive municipal infrastructure project experience.
• Strong relationships with cities and counties in North Texas.
• Experience leading roadway, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead municipal civil infrastructure projects including roadway, drainage, and utilities.
• Serve as primary client liaison for municipal clients.
• Scope projects, negotiate contracts, and oversee budgets and schedules.
• Provide QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Mentor project engineers and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Support business development and represent Tetra Tech at industry events.
