Job summary

Ecotal is seeking an experienced Civil/Mechanical Engineer to support the development, design control, oversight, and execution of their integral pressurized water reactor design and related support systems. The role focuses on civil and mechanical design inputs/outputs, design control, and QA/licensing alignment.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in civil construction or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry is desired; related heavy-industry backgrounds are considered.
  • Proficient in CAD modeling and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support mechanical and civil design activities for reactor supporting systems and equipment.
  • Develop, review, and maintain design inputs, calculations, drawings, specs, and design reports.
  • Perform design reviews, verification, supplier doc reviews, constructability reviews, and evaluations.
  • Apply codes, standards, and quality expectations to civil and mechanical work.
  • Coordinate with QA and licensing to support design products and procurement needs.
  • Provide engineering support for fabrication planning and manufacturing issues.
  • Perform other civil, mechanical, and general engineering tasks as needed.
