Job summary

Washington State Ferries (WSF), a division of WSDOT, seeks a Senior Civil Engineer / Senior Marine Engineer to lead complex ferry-terminal projects from scoping through design and construction.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with NEPA/SEPA and WSDOT standards, and manage schedules, budgets, and risk to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient terminal infrastructure for Puget Sound communities.

Qualifications

• Civil/structural design plus marine/terminal operations knowledge.
• Experience with PS&E, DBB/DB delivery methods and contract administration.
• WA Professional Engineer registration or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review PS&E bid packages for civil/terminal projects.
• Develop civil and terminal designs including grading, paving, drainage, traffic control and alignments.
• Lead design for complex terminal preservation and improvement projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities and NEPA/SEPA alignment.
• Provide construction-phase design support and review submittals and change orders.
