KDG Construction Consulting is seeking a Construction Inspector to provide quality assurance and inspection services across large civil and infrastructure projects in Los Angeles. The role focuses on heavy civil, roadway, bridges, and utilities, with coordination among contractors, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has extensive field inspection experience on Caltrans-like projects, LADBS licensing, and strong knowledge of standards and specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• LADBS Deputy Inspector License (Grading or Post‑Tensioning) required.
• 10+ years of public works field inspection experience or 10+ years as Superintendent on Caltrans bridge/roadway/structures projects.
• Experience with sewer and storm drain systems and traffic control measures is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily inspections of civil construction activities to ensure compliance with standards, contract documents, plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Review and interpret drawings, specs, contract docs, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports identifying the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and HOW of work performed.
• Inspect major reinforced concrete structures, pile foundations, roadways, bridges and related elements.
• Inspect sewer and storm drain systems, utility infra, and traffic control measures.
• Inspect street lighting and traffic signal systems per plans and specs.
• Apply Cal‑OSHA and project safety requirements; enforce safety rules.
• Document time‑and‑material work, field changes, installed quantities, and other activities.
