Pacific Gas and Electric Company seeks Civil Inspectors to oversee contractor construction activities across our Electric T&D projects. The role requires extensive travel (about 90%), with the HQ in Antioch and work across multiple sites in Northern and Central California.

The position emphasizes safety, adherence to PG&E designs and standards, and coordination among workgroups. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 4 years of journey-level experience, and the ability to manage

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of journey-level utility construction/PM/supervisory experience.
• Extensive travel (~90%) and frequent overnight work.
• Outdoor work in all weather; PPE provided and required.

Mansioni

• Plan upfront activities with walk downs, design reviews and constructability reviews to reduce costs and increase safety.
• Oversee substation construction projects and all field activities.
• Submit equipment forms to the system of record.
• Ensure physical and cyber security of substations during construction.
• Possibly act as clearance holder and coordinate with clearance schedules.
• Issue field authorizations for scope changes requiring additional work.
• Resolve complex material and engineering issues on site.
• Provide status reports to Project Managers on scope/schedule/cost changes.
• Ensure contractors work efficiently and in PG&E's best financial interests.
• Verify work meets specifications and coordinate with Contract Management to approve invoices.
