Jobot is seeking an experienced Estimator for Civil/Grading in Charlotte, NC. You will lead detailed cost analyses, prepare itemized take-offs, and collaborate with project teams to develop accurate budgets for diverse civil projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in civil estimating, strong budgeting skills, proficiency with blueprint reading, MTO, and common estimating software. This on-site role offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator in civil, grading, and utilities.
• Strong cost management and budgeting skills.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and material take-off (MTO).
• Proficient in MS Office and estimating software.

Responsabilités

• Conduct detailed analysis of construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to provide detailed estimates and cost forecasts.
• Utilize expertise in civil, grading, and utilities construction to provide accurate estimates.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Utilize software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Present prepared estimates for internal and client approvals.
• Monitor industry trends to help anticipate cost increases.
• Participate in proposal preparation and client presentations.
