A well-known site development company is seeking a professional, dynamic, career-oriented, reliable, and motivated individual for a permanent full-time position as a Project Manager/Estimator at our office in Wilmington, NC. MUST HAVE 3D ESTIMATING SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE!
This position involves estimating projects and managing site work and utility construction projects. It will require the applicant to manage project budgets and schedules.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage numerous projects while simultaneously completing estimating duties, experienced in using Carlson Civil Software and/or Ag-Tek.
Manage site superintendents, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring projects are within budget and on time.
Primary communicator with project owners and/or engineers.
Attend pre-bid meetings with the owner, vendors, and subcontractors.
Develop a complete and accurate bid proposal including quantity take-off; crew composition; material and subcontractor pricing.
Negotiate, secure and manage subcontracts.
Compare bid pricing to historical data.
Read, outline and communicate specifications and plans for superintendents and foremen.
Review material submittals, and request approval.
Develop and maintain project schedule. Prepare and keep the project progress and budget.
Change order pricing and negotiations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5 to 10 years’ experience in site work and utility construction project management. A Construction Management or Civil Engineer degree is desirable.
A record of successfully estimating and managing civil site and utility construction projects.
Have a working knowledge of means and methods, crew composition and production rates for all aspects of civil site and utility construction.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Project Standard scheduling software with the ability to adapt to a variety of computer applications.
Cost accounting experience preferred.
The ability to work with a team and independently to complete projects within stated deadlines.
Communicate effectively.
