Job summary

Talley Construction, a CRH Company, seeks a Grading | Utilities Project Manager in Rossville, GA. The role focuses on heavy civil construction, including grading, sewer, storm water, and water main projects.

You will manage submittals, shop drawings, costs, schedules, invoices, and subcontractor coordination. Applicants should have at least 3 years in heavy civil construction, an associates degree (preferred), and familiarity with take-off and estimating software.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Heavy Civil Construction project management including sitework, grading, sewer, storm water and water main projects.
  • Minimum Associates Degree preferred (Civil, Engineering, or Construction Management)
  • Experience in estimator bidding on D.O.T. projects preferred
  • Experience in Project Management required with experience in estimating a plus
  • Knowledge of Take-Off software preferred (Agtek Software Plus experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of Estimating Software preferred (HCSS Heavybid Software Plus experience a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Read civil and architectural plans.
  • Process submittals and shop drawings.
  • Perform job costing and forecasting.
  • Prepare construction time schedules (MS Project experience preferred).
  • Prepare and submit monthly billings and invoicing.
  • Process change orders.
  • Process subcontractor billing and change orders.
  • Order and track material shipments.
  • Attend weekly meetings with owners, subs, vendors and Talley personnel.
  • Liaise between jobsite superintendent and office staff.
  • Analyze bid documents, plans, blueprints and specs to gain a thorough understanding of the project.
  • Solicit and manage subcontractor and vendor quotes.
  • Monitor and analyze costs versus bid during construction.
  • Be flexible with duties and have a 'get-it-done' attitude.
  • Must pass post offer drug screen
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to legally work in the US.
  • All new hires will be processed through E-Verify
  • Some travel may be required
  • This position will require work in the field

Duties will include:
  • The ability to read plans (Both Civil and Architectural)
