Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead pursuit teams and deliver competitive bid proposals for major civil construction projects in Dallas. The role focuses on producing detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment takeoffs for structural concrete work, and applying insightful analysis of project execution to ensure accurate pricing.

The candidate will analyze market conditions, competition and pricing strategies, and will lead and mentor junior estimators.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
6+ years of estimating experience.
Proficiency in estimating software such as HCSS Heavybid, BlueBeam, Agtek.
Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
Travel to visit project sites as required.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Salary: $110,000- $160,000 depending on experience + bonuses.

Responsibilities

Lead pursuit teams in preparing and submitting competitive and accurate bid proposals.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment with an emphasis on structural concrete work.
Apply pragmatic analysis of the overall project execution process to ensure the estimate reflects the efficient execution of the project.
Analyze market conditions, competition and pricing strategies.
Lead and mentor junior Estimators.
